Except for refugees and members of the Family Class,
everyone is assessed on a point system.
Points are given for:
education, ability to communicate in English or French,
work experience, age, arranged employment, adaptability;
your occupation must be listed
on the list of occupations identified in the Ministerial Instructions
If your work experience is in a restricted occupation you
cannot use it to earn points.
The Pass Mark is 67 (out of maximum100 Points)
There is no guarantee -
on can be accepted with 67 Points and
refused with 100 Points
If your score is the same or higher than the pass mark,
then you may qualify to immigrate to Canada
as a skilled worker
If your score is less than the pass mark,
you are not likely to qualify to immigrate
to Canada as a Skilled Worker.
You may submit a formal application if you believe
that there are factors that would show that you are able
to become economically established in Canada ....
